4 New furbabies :

Recommended Posts

Just thought I would introduce the new family furbabies and get some advice from fellow cat parents lol

The photo : Top left Ember and top right Chat (the boys) they are mine and the bottom left Smokey and bottom right Myst (the girls) who are my brothers [but I spoil them equally lol]

I had Ember fixed quite awhile ago and he is doing good. The other three I took to a different vet yesterday and got them fixed (also rabies shots which are required). I got extra pain meds to take home just in case they need them. Chat is the largest at almost 10 lbs, while Smokey is the smallest at a little over 7 lbs.

I dropped them off around 7:30am and picked them up at 3:45pm. The vet told me to keep them in overnight and then they could go back out today. I waited until it was in the fifties (temp) and then let them out all out. I think they went under our deck/porch or out to the barn (it's huge and they share it with a Pyranees puppy - he's on the other side of a stall.) It's supposed to rain and know they have sutures so I'm gonna try to get them to come back in before dark. It's due to rain all day for the next 2 days..... Is it okay for them to be outside this soon? Ember's vet told us to keep him in for at least  3 days but other vets seem okay releasing them outside the day after since they're barn cats.

I live in a temporary reality- awaiting the day I wake up to life in the real world!

Our oldest fur baby has a new trick. We will turn on one of the bath faucets to a slow drip so she will drink, that's something my wife started years ago.  Recently the cat has decided to let the water drip on the back of her head and then jump in my lap so I can wipe the water off her head! If she decides that she isn't getting a good head rub, she'll go soak her head and make me do it again! :lol1:
