They said that the actual number of deaths were 70X the officail count. How can they do that? So stupid. Anyone else see anything?

It was just a political thing, trying negate the extent of the damage in Puerto Rica.  “Very few deaths, toss out a couple rolls of paper  towels. And everyone is happy.” Oh, and no need to help with the grid being down!

What's the latest news about our brothers in PR,  by the way?

Actually, things are moving fast in terms of the relief efforts and repairing/rebuilding phase. The DRC is finishing works in almost every zone in the island. The KH that were being used as relief centers are being back to their normal use. And we can't stop to thank Jehovah and to express our love and thank you to all the brothers and sisters that came and helped us thru these months!

We've almost had our series of this year Regional Conventions, and the last one (the biggest one in terms of assigned congregations) is in two weeks (that's the one we're assigned).

Also, we're in the middle of a big reorganization of congregations and circuits throughout the island, with almost 70 congregations being merged or reorganized, including ours. So this is my last Convention in our congregation, as on September 1 we'll start on a new congregation (they reassigned brothers and territory from ours to two nearby congregations). It's been exciting times, and it will come better ones I the future, everything to praise Jehovah!

This morning I was talking a brother that just got back from PR, he has been there twice in the last 3 months.

He told me the reconstruction work is engineered by the branch and exceeds the local building codes. The homes that had been repaired previously had very little or any damage this time.

Now they are admitting it could be around 1400...🙁
