An answer when mild...

[Meditate!]

This experience is from the wife of a recently reactivated brother.. He's now an Ms here; his wife, from a charismatic religious background, is currently studying and an unbaptised publisher. 

 

She's at work.. Conversation with a male co-worker, comes up about JWs. Vehemently blurts out. I hate them! She says bravely, that she's studying with them. Now I hate you! , he says. 

 

How can you say a moment ago you like me and now Hate me? What have Jehovahs witnesses ever done to you that makes you feel like that? He had no answer. 

 

After a pregnant pause... He just said.. OK, what's it all about then? 

She proceeded to tell him what she's learning. 

 

She defends the truth at any opportunity! 

 

I'm amazed at her. She's fearless!

That's awesome, we can learn from the zeal of our new brothers and sisters and even studies can't we? That really made me smile.

She needs to get baptised. Working on why she is delaying.. After the recent WT. Not pushing but learning.

Thank you for sharing that. Good reminder to be tactfully bold and speak up. Tough in the work situation, I admire her. How easy it would've been shrink back thinking there might have been a more opportune time.

 

How many of us, including yours truly, have walked away from a situation either door to door or casual,  and kicked ourselves because five seconds later a dozen things come to mind......

 

Thank Jehovah that He's the one drawing people, I know I can be a little like Jonah at times.

 

AND how's about the new drama coming about Jonah!!!!

many can identify with those sentiments.

 

why would we need a whole assembly on the subject of courage if we didn't need it? I like Jonah and identify with him...

 

If we ever get a talk that invites us to read a scripture in the book of Jonah.. I can't help but read more and get distracted.. I'm working on it.
