The New York Times wanted reports of petty crime in London, and Londoners responded with typical British humour.

I used to have some Good Neighbors who were Keeping Up Appearances because they thought they were To The Manor Born - they would invite you in to enjoy The Good Life and, before you even had a chance to sit down they would ask, "Are You Being Served?" - It always gave me Butterflies when I would visit them because As Time Goes By the Fawlty Towers on their house looked like a Red Dwarf who dressed like a Blackadder after staying too long at a place that was Open All Hours and had One Foot In The Grave ... When they would come to my house, they would knock on the Bottom of the door and shout "'Allo 'Allo!" - and when I would tell them I was just leaving to head to The Office, they would just say, "Yes, Minister"

It was strange because I could hear the Police helicopter searching and I commented that it was making me uneasy because I was watching Capricorn One!
