  1. "That statement is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance. This is why we are working hard and exerting ourselves, because we have rested our hope on a living God, who is a Savior of all sorts of men, especially of faithful ones." --- 1Tim. 4:9, 10 "May Jehovah reward you for what you have done, and may there be a perfect wage* for you from Jehovah the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to seek refuge.” ---Ruth 2:12 *Or "a full reward"
  2. Those old songs bring back memories for me too. If you like them you might remember this one also, that was featured in the movie American Graffiti by the Del Vikings. I kind of wonder if the Platters song, "Blue Moon" might have been the influence for the Beach Boys song"Barbara Ann," with all the B-bopping in both songs. Sorry for the double post of the same song. I meant to post this:
  3. Maybe he could take some of that excess hair on his back and chest and transplant it on his bald head!
  4. Elvis was actually quite fond of singing gospel music. It's hard to believe that he had to make a comeback in 1968 when he was only 34 years old. But then again, he died in 1977 at only 42 years of age. They say the brightest stars burn out the quickest. See my video, below.
  5. I didn't start having the conditions you describe until I reached 60 years of age. Maybe it's true what they say, 60 is the new 40. Or in your case, maybe it's the other way around, 40 is the new 60! 😯
  6. I love the energy of this group and they're good too. The barefoot drummer girl doesn't miss a beat and the guitar player will give Jimmy Paige a run for his money!
  7. Does anyone know of a source for downloading a digital copy of the 2014 "Examining the Scriptures Daily" booklet? I can only find the latest copies on the Society's venues, unless there's a way to find older copies I'm not aware of. Thanks for any help you can provide.
  8. lyrics: I know you’ve been hurt by someone else I can tell by the way you carry yourself But if you let me, here’s what I’ll do I’ll take care of you I, I’ve loved and lost the same as you So you see, I know just what you’ve been through But if you’ll let me, here’s what I’ll do Oh, I just got to take care of you You won’t ever have to worry You won’t ever have to cry I’ll be there beside you To dry your weeping eyes So darling, tell me that you’ll be true For there is no doubt in my mind, I know what I want to do Understand, sure as one and one is two Oh, you know I’ll take care of you I’ll take care of you...................... "I'll Take Care of You" is a song written by Brook Benton and originally recorded by Bobby Bland in 1959. It reached number 89 on the Billboard Hot 100 in January 1960.
