  1. Saw this Regarding Methuselah’s death https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1200003022#h=3:326-3:524 It 2 pg 388 Methuselah “He died in 2370 B.C.E., the year in which the Flood began. But the Scriptures say that Methuselah “died,” not that he perished in the Deluge as a result of divine execution.—Ge 5:27; see LIFE SPAN.”
  2. One year later our 2021 garden. Growing very quickly so far. The rows on the far left have to be replanted. Something small ate the tops off of the snow pea pods. Far right had a small Asparagus harvest. Should be a good harvest of them next year. The cherry tomatoes are already flowering. How is everyone else’s gardens this year?
  3. Sister Lucy, It’s not always easy and truth be told, I’ve slipped this past month.
  4. I would like to share a little of what I learned from a Diabetes management course (offered by The American Diabetes Association. This class was a game changer for me in managing my type 2 diabetes, although I’ve been failing as of lately): While in the Pre Diabetes stage please take action. It can be reversed. Sadly, The American medical industry does not seem to offer the proper support to help their patients while in that stage. Proper diet isn’t just about Sugar it’s about limiting the bad type of carbs along with a balanced diet, weight management and (ugh) exercise. Eat 3 meals per day and 3 low carb snacks. Suggested level of carbs per meal Women. 40-45carbs Snacks. 15-20 Men 45-60carbs Snacks 15carbs (don’t forget to deduct the fiber from the carb count) Whole grain items are the better choice, whole wheat, steel cut oats Become a label reader. Watch out for added sugar in processed foods, ie. breads, soups, prepared sauces, broths, yogurts, margarine, frozen foods, etc. Good idea to invest in a carb counter app or book. Keep a food journal And don’t forget to drink water to help flush sugar from the system. here is a good reference article from ADA. https://www.mydrs.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/diabetesfoodpyramid.pdf Also this is a breakdown of carb types There are three main types of carbohydrates: Sugars. They are also called simple carbohydrates because they are in the most basic form. ... Starches. They are complex carbohydrates, which are made of lots of simple sugars strung together. ... Fiber. It is also a complex carbohydrate. My personal opinion, if you are able is to see a Diabetic Specialist. (Check with your health care provider regarding coverage) Best wishes my dear siblings. Love Your sister D

  7. I understand why you might feel that way. At one time I felt the same when talks, assembly/convention parts, study articles, etc. were about subjects that didn’t fit my life at the time, such as marriage, children, pioneering. However, a long time ago, I heard some sage advice: if you think the “counsel/advice” doesn’t fit, Make It Fit. Think about how you can apply the information in your life. There is so much to learn even when a topic does not seem to “fit” your life. The counsel given in the broadcast can be applied to any situation and relationship, such as the principles of Love, respect, patience, kindness, wisdom, headship, communication, endurance etc. Don’t be disappointed, Whether you are married, not married, have no intention of being married or want to get married, there are lessons to be learned and applied for each and every one of us.

How I Found the Truth

  • How I found the Truth
Basically raised in the truth. Mom started studying when I was 3yrs old. I always knew it was the truth, no doubts about Jehovah either. But it wasn’t until I was 14 that I made the truth my own. I consider it a blessing from Jehovah to have studied as a young child with 2 pioneers and a young teen with another Pioneer. This truly had an effect on my view of the Pioneer life as the best life ever. Thank you Jehovah.
