  1. So I just bought a new Samsung smart tv. I'm not very computer savvy. Could anyone tell me if there's a way to get the jw broadcast channel? I've done a search but get nothing. What the trick? I understand not all devices like my Samsung tv have it readily available. Is there a way around that? I would appreciate any help here. Thanks
  2. Wish we had a special "tech" section on JW talk! A sister in my congregation is has a problem when downloading video's from the JWL app that I've never seen before, and so far, I haven't been able to help her or figure out why it's doing what it is doing - so I'm posting the problem in here, in hopes someone else may know what the problem is. Whenever she downloads a video - it's basically a "crap shoot" as to where it will go. She always downloads directly through the JWL app but sometimes it downloads to the app and sometimes it goes to her "gallery". When it goes to her gallery - her JWL will not show that it has been downloaded (the cloud stays on the bottom right). She then goes to her gallery to watch whatever happens to download there. Some of what she downloads through the JWL app goes directly in the app and it will show the "more" button. There seems to be no ryhme or reason for where her multi-media goes. (She has an SD card and the JWL app is set to download multimedia to her SD card - it is doing this because I went into her files to confirm it) The only thing I could figure out is that possible the JWL app has a corrupted file or something and she may need to uninstall and reinstall it. Anyone else know what is going on here? By the way, she has a Samsung Galaxy S2 tablet (8 inch) which is the same one I have (only mine is 9.7 inch) and I have no such problem with mine.
  3. Here is a video tutorial with step by step instructions on how to study the Meeting Workbook for Our Christian Life and Ministry Meeting using Play Books. Play Books is a free app that is pre-installed on most Android devices and is also available for iOs devices and PC's. It allows highlighting and note taking amongst other features and automatically syncs information across all devices and platforms. This is what I'll be using. What app will you use to study the Meeting Workbook?
  4. Has anyone used the interactive Regional Convention program with an Android device? If so, what app did you use? Did you type or use a stylus? Any tips or suggestions? Thanks.
  5. My Samsung S4 phone just updated to Android 5.01 ( Lollipop ) today the 28th. Build date is April 24/15. You need 3 Gb room on device to install and you lose 1 Gb from previous build, when update is finished. Wonder when tab 3 update is coming, since it is not available at time of writing.
  6. I bought a limited DVD Collection from US, and today when I put it into my Samsung DVD player, it can't come up with the movie. A box was occured said that I couldn't play dvd from other countries because of different code. What?? What does it mean? I thought DVD from any countries should be played. I have spent 50 USD for it, and I cannot see my movies? Any idea about code that was said by the DVD player... I will try to play it later in my sis' laptop. Hope it can work!
  7. Here is a brief video with instructions on how to import EPubs into Moon Reader Pro and organize categories.
  8. This video shows how to make custom home screens for your electronic device. Images from jw.org, the publications, or any personal images can be used. How To Set Custom Images for Each Homescreen (Hub…:
  9. Very nice video of a brothers tablet setup featuring software designed for witnesses.
