I have been making a few different recipes  Salads.

 

this is one of mY favorites.

there is no cooking time, just prep.

 

Dressing is 4 Tablespoons L/f Greek Yogurht.

                    4   """""""""        L/F Sour Cream

                    half a lemon juice

                     2 celery stalks diced.

                     2 green schallots finally chopped.

                      a good handful of watercress, dill & coriander

                      a good splash  of verjuice, pepper & salt to taste.

mix it altogether.

 

enjoy!

 

I served mine with butter cooked calamri & a toss of Italian seasoning with leftover cooked potatoes.

It really does - I think. Not sure what nummie means, but if you said yummy I would definitely agree!

I am trying my hand at chili verde anyone make it?

Verde is like a salsa or Paste right?
I make a Harissa with Chillies..

 

 

A good handful of Chillies.

a good handful of coriander

salt to taste

3 cloves of garlic

a good handful of mint,

teaspoon of cumin seeds

:::::::               coriander seeds.

;;;;;;;;;             caraway seeds

cover with olive oil in a blender

& whiz to a paste,

 

Sometimes if I have parmizzan cheese I will add some.

& also yogurt with olives & cappers & red peppers

Verde is like a salsa or Paste right?

 

Actually, verde just means green.  You can make salsa verde etc, but the word just means green.

 

Like the composer's name Verdi is Italian for Green.  Giuseppe Verdi = Joseph Green (literal translation)

Grumpy makes a chili verde from hot peppers from the garden. It is so good. We make burritos with it. Ours is very hot (spicey). No recipe though, every time he makes it, it's just a little different. It is nummie.
