That won't work in Michigan, USA because we get $0.10 USD per can because we pay $0.10 each when we buy the soda drink.

We save them for a refund.

People still throw them out along the roads, allowing the poorer ones to glean. Then they haul in huge plastic bags full and bring them to the stores to redeem the cans for the $0.10 each deposit.

 

Ya see, gleaning isn't dead yet.

 

You could recycle the crushed cans, but you lose a lot of money that way.

It's a great machine anyway.

Lee there use to be places around wheee I grew up. You could take bottles or cans & get paid.

Even scrap metal is worth a good pay.

Because of beauracrates. Things have changed way to much.

We are told to recycle.

Adelaide is the place to go now.

The pay from cans won't cover enough costs.
