question about tablets ability to video

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anyone can help me understand how to figure out a tablet's ability to take video. I recently observed a friend videoing a session with a practitioner of Structural Relief Therapy so he would have a record of how to do the exercises he was assigned. It lasted a full hour and he was using an IPad . This would be very helpful to me as these exercises are not always easy to repeat properly without seeing them performed. So I have been re-visiting the idea of trying to find a low cost 2nd hand tablet that is capable of taking up to an hour video. What would I look for that would yell me of its capability to do video and the length of time it can do it? As far as I've researched, it seems a person has to have an app that does the videoing but am not sure how to tell how long it can do it. Does that totally depend on the battery life of the tablet? And if that is so, then would it be lengthened by using the AC charger? Thanks for any help you can give me! :worship:

If your objective is just taking video I would advice a phone for the handling part and the majority of phones have much better quality of filming than the same price tablets

If your really into buying a tablet you must look into the camera specifications for the quality of video - some film in full hd, others 720p, which in my opinion is more than enough besides takes less space

If your planning in making lots of videos choose a tablet that allows for a micro-sd card and buy one, ideally a 32gb or 16gb

Usually you can film without any mains charger connected... for the time you mentionned

Thanks for that info., brother. The tablet I have in mind is only $64.00 right now. So as long as it can video for up to an hour, it would suit my needs. I can't see the screens on the phones very well. And I can't afford a monthly carrier plan. (Am on a very fixed income due to disability.)

based on the mention of a rear 5mp camera (some only have a front facing cam) and what you intend to do, I think that tablet will do the job just fine ;)
