Kindle reader

I know there was a discussion about the app used on the Kindle to read WT & AW but I can't find it. I ordered a Kindle just for use as a reader as I can't justify the bigger bucks for an Ipad or such. It's no big deal cuz I can read them on my laptop. Just that it would be nice.

Can you install apps from the Android market (Google play store) on your Kindle?

 

If you can access the Internet with the Kindle, you might want to try downloading and installing "jw reader" from this site:

I have heard that the new app from the branch "jw Library" does not yet support the Kindle.

I tried to download it to my KF and I couldn't get it even when I checked the box to allow other apps, not Amazon.

 

The WT's and A's can be downloaded and The New 2013 Bible can be downloaded to the kindle by using a program "Send to Kindle" that you install on your computer. You download the mag or what ever to your computer and then right click on it and when the box comes up, click on "Send to Kindle" It then goes to Amazon who then sends it to your Kindle but the quality depends on what kind of Kindle you bought. http://www.amazon.com/gp/sendtokindle/pc

Are you talking about the PDF version of the new Bible, or the JW Library app of the new Bible and other translations? 

 

I am trying to keep track of what works on which devices.

 PDF version of the new Bible, The app does not work on Kindle Fire any edition yet.

 

It really works good though, like you can go from book to book using the links.

I wasn't really thinking of downloading the new WT app cuz  I know it wont go on a Kindle. The other thing is, I ordered the Kindle Paperwhite. Putting the Bible on to do Bible reading would be good,but there again, I have it on my laptop. I wanted something very light to read books in bed or on the go. I may be sorry of my purchase and find it isn't what I wanted. We'll see!

I have a paper white and the Bible can go on it as well as the mags using the "Send to Kindle" for computers. If you need help just PM me.
