Erasing highlighted text of pdf files

I have a kindle fire HD tablet and have Adobe reader with PDF Study Watchtowers on it that I have highlighted text on that I want to remove the highlighted portion and can:t figure out how to do it. Can anyone help?

In ezPDF Reader, I can tap the annotation and then a menu appears, and from there I can touch "Delete" to remove the annotation.

So what you are saying is I can't delete from acrobat reader on my tablet and to do that I need ezpdf.

I can erase highlighted PDF in Adobe reader by holding my finger on the highlight

until the box pops up and then select CLEAR..

Of course you have to touch and hold each section or line you highlighted..could take awhile!
