The Christian Wife Store

A store that supplies JW wives has just opened in New York Cit

y

, where a

brother may go to choose a wife.  Among the instructions at

the entrance

is a description of how the store operates.  You may visit

the store

ONLY ONCE!

There are six floors, and the attributes of the sisters

increase as does a bride price as the

shopper ascends the flights. There is, however, a

catch....you may

choose any sister from a particular floor, or you may

choose to go up a

floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the

building!

Soooo,

one day a brother goes to the Christian Wife Store to find a

wife.

On the first floor the sign on the door reads:

 

Floor 1 - These sisters are subjective to headship and love

Jehovah. Naw...he thinks.  Gotta be something better!

The second floor sign reads:

 

 Floor 2 - These sisters are subjective to headship, love

Jehovah, and

can support themselves financially.  I'm only on the 2nd floor, I'm going up.

The third floor sign reads:

 

Floor 3- These sisters are subjective to headship, love

Jehovah, are

educated, can support themselves financially, and

are

extremely good

looking. 'Wow,'

 

he thinks, that's better, but feels compelled to

keep going.

He goes to the fourth floor and sign reads:

 

Floor 4 - These sisters are subjective to headship, love

Jehovah, are

educated, can support themselves financially , are drop-dead

good

looking, intelligent

,

can

do

maintenance on their

cars

, and can

do

household

repairs

.  ‘

Oh, mercy me!' he exclaims, 'I can hardly believe

it!

 

What

could be better than this?'

Still, he goes to the fifth floor and sign reads:

 

Floor 5 - These sisters are subjective to headship, love

Jehovah, are

zealous regular pioneers, educated, can support themselves

financially,

are drop-dead gorgeous, intelligent

, can

do

maintenance on their

cars

, can

do

household

repairs, and are athletic.

The brother is so tempted to stay, but he goes to

the

sixth floor and

the sign reads:

 

Floor 6 - You are visitor 7,144,012 to this floor. This floor is the

lay-a-way plan floor.  Since you are seeking perfection in a

Christian Wife,

you need to sign your name on the

“

Available

After Armageddon Waiting List

”.

And then you need to try real hard to improve your own qualifications, because it appears you have such unreasonable expectations, in all probability you're doomed to be an eternal bachelor if you don't..

I've never heard it as the "wife" store - always the "husband" store.

 

Most men would have stopped on floor 3!!!!! I did!!!

I know about the same story called "brothers store".

But there was only 2 floors and the second floor was "the lay-a-way plan floor".

Those women are smart,they love Jehovah.They are educated,they studied Jehovahs word and have learn Bible princaples.As to beauty,I have never seen a sister who is not beautiful as all of Jehovahs creations are Beautiful. Okay Larry! I went and had a peek--it says "divorced and free to marry"---Good job Brother! I know they tell the sisters here if you want to marry pray and make it known. I don't know if that is your case or not--was just trying to have a good time with you. SNAP!

Leslie,if we cannot poke at each other who can we poke at.I do not get offended very easy.I was married long enough to know brownie points are always good to stock up on. after all aren't women God greatest creation on earth. And yes to your question I would like to marry again one day and do pray on it and if it is ment to be it will be but only with a servent of Jehovah.

Thank you Leslie,I am kinda shy when it comes to approching the sisters.some day one will come along and say hey you me the alter. In all honesty I'm scared. Off subject if I remember you are from OK? If so any where near Norman? I ask cause I know a family that goes to a hall there

Norman is about 130 miles away from us. I am taking a nurse refresher course there to get my license reinstated--that will be completed mid Feb then .....ahhhh... Insurance! Glorious insurance! So, weekly I make an overnight trek there for class.
