You can't be too surprised. It was a pointless organisation when it existed as the LoN. And its still a pointless organisation after being reinvented and renamed as the UN. Successive Secretary Generals have all been the same. They flip, they flop, they vacillate and at the end of it all we're still none the wiser as to what their actual aim or point is.
