Here in Ky in the U.S. the 2 nights ago, we were at -8 (windchill down to -25) at one point and the transformer on our street blew so from 2:36 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. our electricity went out so no power  Which meant no heat or even wood pellet stove! So, since our generator threw a fit and didn't want to start, we sat in the car at one point and watched them replace the transformer. With the whole family (pets included - gotta keep th furbabies warm too) :)

I am sorry for all of you and this cold.  I am from Chicago so I remember what that is like!

Nice and warm in Texas today, hit 70 degrees!!!!  Sorry, don't mean to rub it in.

Keep warm and keep safe.  My family back in Chicago are about done with winter themselves, they are so ready for spring.

Sis. Admit it, you have to rub it in, yet thanks. Now I feel one degree warmer when you mentioned 70 degrees, although I feel like 10 below zero

As much as I love going home to see my family and friends and all the places I grew up, I do not believe I could live up North again.  I have gotten very use to the mild winters down here.

All my family and friends on Facebook have just been complaining non stop of the bitter cold.  I can say I do not miss it.

I had a great time at in Texas!

I heard on the news that parts of Texas was having issues also...

transportation or weather related road issues????But then again

Texas is so huge! I do have family members in Texas...so much fun

in the summer time - my shades would fog up from AC to outside! B)

I know in Ft. Payne, Ala where my sister lives states it is

just as cold there as here recently!  And..she went there to serve

where the need was great!  Plus was a good thing for her arthritis

as she moved from the Massachusetts cold weather...sigh

Our weather is being altered all over the globe!

Well today nyc had a heat wave! Lol. It almost hit 40 or close to it anyway. I actually saw a man with shorts on! I'm dead serious! :)

But he better put his pants back on cause tomorrow we're back in the ice box, :(

I know what a difference a day makes, serious cold last night with snow, no meeting (again) today but sunny and almost 40 thus afternoon tomorrow wind chills below zero. Spring is almost here.

We have seen reports that it will not warm up around Ontario until maybe may. I sure hope not. It has not hit 0C here all month. We usually get a warm up and a thaw in Feb. Not this year. It will be a the first Month I think they said ever we have not reached the freezing mark as a high.

Told my wife this morning they should tighten the embargo up on Russia and make them keep this weather over there LOL
