A museum full of tourists and locals was attacked by 2 men wearing military uniforms during the day taking hostages and killing 19 and injuring at least 22 others. They do not know why these men attacked or who they may have been involved. They have recently been having problems with securing the area from Islamic extremists and it was noted that the region has one of the highest number of those joining the extremist fighting. This is the first attack of this kind in the region.
