I'm not sure that is saying what you think. The branch headquarters are in St Petersburg I though which is nowhere near Belgorod. So it seems to be saying yet another local area has banned us rather than nationally.

https://www.jw.org/en/news/releases/by-region/russia/threaten-shutdown-jw-national-headquarters/

Or perhaps am I not understanding. I initially read it as nationally the organization was banned throughout Russia.

That doesn't belittle what the brothers and sisters are going through in that area though.

I wish for the Kingdom to come soon.

In the context of this newspaper, I think the word "branch" is referring to a congregation. If you look at this other article from the same newspaper:
http://rapsinews.com/judicial_news/20160415/275877434.html

It also uses the word "branch" to describe to a congregation, not the central offices.

And that's what surprise me about the judicial system of Russia. Some judicial regions can restrict/ban the work, others, sometimes even in the same administrative level, allow it. I can imagine the struggle of the brothers lawyers trying to reason with authorities that they're the same organization throughout the country, that if that region allow the work, why this one can't do the same.

Again, we need the Kingdom... one set of rules, guided by love...

Please change the title of this thread - it could covey a false message. I almost fell from my chair.

Yes, it could convey a false message. Thats why I would like to hear from our HQ. Still we need the reminder of what our brothers and sisters going thrue. I talk to some in the Russian congregation in our town and they said the workers at the Branch office (in St.Petersburg)have moved to a neibour country. If the moderators would change the title of the topic, please do, so no one get hurt by falling off their chair.
