JW Broadcasting + Roku tv = bad picture quality

We have a "Haier - Roku" smart tv and I just downloaded the JW Broadcasting App. When I try to play a video, the picture quality is terrible. There doesn't seem to be an option anywhere in the app or the tv to select a better resolution. I don't think the problem is the tv because the other apps such as Netflix and Youtube work fine. It seems to be a problem with the JW Broadcasting App. Any ideas?

I haven't used Roku in a while so I'm not up to date on it's settings. After selecting a video to play is there not a settings button to change the resolution of the video?

Some devices choose a resolution based on your available bandwidth. Check your ISP speed as part of the diagnostic process.

No, there is no option to change the resolution anywhere.

We have a high-speed cable modem. According to speed tests from 2 different sites, our download speed is between 48 and 55 MBps.

 

Anyway, the video is playing correctly today. The resolution is much better! Maybe the problem corrected itself?

I have a Roku TV and sometimes the picture is bad and some days it’s clear. Don’t know why.

I had internet access through a cable modem with Comcast where I used to live. JW broadcasting did fine on my ROKU. I now live in an area that does not have cable TV. I have to get my internet access through a satellite provider. I have the same problem with the videos. There is a cable TV company a few miles from my present location. Maybe one day soon they will extend their system out to where I live and I can get better videos.

 

The signal I get is OK on Netflix and when my grandson was visiting he watched youtube videos with no problem.

We're with Comcast also. I finally found the Settings where you can change the resolution. You have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the videos. I set the resolution to 1080. Seems to be working ok, but the other day it was blurry.
