If Armageddon doesn’t come, what will the world be like in 100 years?

Recommended Posts

I thought this could be a fun topic to talk about.

people in the past, for example in Jesus’ days,

Christian would never have even imagined that humanity would someday reach the year 2000.

Now it’s almost 2020.

We fly in the air and can talk to anybody on Earth.. What a miracle.

Will mankind self-destruct and head to complete extinction?

If we were to believe some climate change reports, life would be unbelievably hard by 2120 by today's estimates.

Global population would be about 12bn. The earth would see a 4-5 degree rise in air temperatures. Many regions like Australia, Middle East, North and Central Africa would become uninhabitable. Big cities in coastal areas would disappear under water. Most glaciers would melt, leading to water shortages. Water would become the most valuable resource over which wars would be fought. Billions of people would become climate migrants. Crops would fail due to soil depletion, water shortages, intense heat and lack of pollinators. As a result, people would not be able to feed themselves.

Again these are just scientific projections based on what is known today. Scientists admit that there are too many variables and unknowns. In reality, things can be far worse even before the end of the century.

Here are some interesting media reports:

The heat is on over the climate crisis. Only radical measures will work

Scientists say these 10 major cities could become unlivable within 80 years

Pretty sure we'd be extinct with the way things are going.

Extremists from all different ideologies would kill each other, whether that be political or religious. We can already see how polarised the world is right now. Those remaning would be finished off by ensuing results of the disaster and/or climate change.

There is a reason Jehovah warned he'd have to step in before we destory ourselves.

Sounds pretty much like a Madmax world....

So the world was gonna end anyway.

Next year would be 100 years from the last economic great depression.

Maybe something similar might happen so that nations would have to destroy religions for profits?

I heard us is in a good economic state these days though..

What happens even now when the electricity is cut?  Or (heaven forbid) the internet?  Everything runs on electricity and you can't use computers.  It's grinds to a halt.  Then the looting starts, petrol runs out at the bowsers, food can't be delivered, the water stops coming out of our taps.  People in cities will feel it immensely. And this would just be within a week or so.

In poorer countries and in rural areas, they will feel it less so since they are more self-sufficient.  Ok, so they will last a bit longer in the misery.  The next big disaster (flood, disease epidemic) that comes will probably finish them off, since there isn't going to be any aid coming from the cities.  It doesn't look like a pretty scenario.

And that is without the other variables, such as war, terror, climate change, pollution, sinking cities, diseases etc in the mix.  Just if someone turns off the electricity.

And one last thing.  Society has basically broken down already.  Our leaders are either corrupt or weak due to lack of strong policies and affected by policy by social media.  People don't show kindness, and have little loyalty.

In past disasters, there was a measure of humanity still (think the Blitz in London).  Everyone who could pitched in and helped others.  People managed to come back from the brink of disasters because of the human element - good leadership and a population that followed their leaders in unity for a common cause.

Nothing like that socially exists now.  It's every man for himself from the top down.  Their unity manifests itself in divisive camps based on racism disguised as national or cultural pride.  And the leaders are not statesmen.

Easy to see that only Jehovah's Kingdom is the solution, hey?

The sad part about this is that some think that is how life will be at the beginning of the New System

As things continue to decline ... the leaders would look at history and realize "War is good for business" and there would be some type of World War ... afterward, some economies would recover while others fail and things would seem to improve - except that, just like after the other World Wars, morals would decline at a more rapid pace and mankind would be right back where he is now, on the brink of self-extinction, even though social and technological "advancements" would have been made ...

Somehow, I don't think Jehovah will sit back and let that happen.

Surely life will feel more difficult. No need to talk about job employment or sanitary. In countries with large populations such as in India and Pakistan you are even difficult to know the color of a train that is passing because it is covered by people standing on the side and above along the wagon.

Were not going to be around for another 100 years if Jehovahs doesn’t step in, in just 20 years it’s believed we will be at 3 degrees global surface temperature. Scientists have concluded we are guaranteed a 3 degrees warming and that’s if we stop polluting the air with greenhouse gases and airborne pollutants right now and we’re not doing this, not fully anyways. At 3 degrees + its pretty much game over for humans on this earth.

So it's like Jehovah will step in not for destruction as its main goal, but for salvation and deliverance for the whole mankind because it will have been in the brink of extinction anyway.

Whether God steps in or not, it will be what's going to happen nonetheless.

Yes, I think so too. Here is an interesting quote from the Bible.

Quote

20 Keep praying that your flight may not occur in wintertime nor on the Sabbath day; 21 for then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again. 22 In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short. Matthew 24:20-22

I read somewhere month ago scientists agree in next 50 years live on this planet will not be possible in form we live now..

No food, no water, air pollution, warming, too much people live on earth in small groups, cities. Humankind are destroing earth ant that will not stop. Like Johns revelation sais.

Johovah will destroy those who destroied earth.

So earth will be destroied that living will become difficult..
