This reminds of the 2000s when Blair and Bush developed their "bromance" and messed up the world. By today's standards, the duo seems to be quite "sensible".

 

In contrast, Trump and Johnson are of a different unconventional type. With their right-wing views, they may not have a bromance, but may lead to more disastrous results.

I agree, but I dont understand what a picture of several world leaders over the last 40 years has anything to do with it?

Of all the leaders pictured only Thatcher/Reagan and Bush/Blair had close personal friendships.

 

After Thatcher/Reagan managed to bring down the iron curtain, the Anglo-American empire began its triumphant unchallenged global hegemony. 

 

Under Bush/Blair, the Anglo-American empire was at its peak. It could literally do anything it wanted. 

 

Today the Anglo-American empire is no longer the sole super power. There are now Russia and China on the stage. 

 

Will Trump and Johnson be close buddies? Most likely. They share a similar worldview and may do politics the way Putin/Xi do, i.e. the old way as in the pre-19th century when world powers jostled for influence. We know how the jostling ended. So we might expect some wars. 

 

Personally I think Trump will need to start a war in Iran or elsewhere to win a second term. He will then claim like Bush: I am war-time president and I need to finish the affair.

 The Anglo-American is still very strong in many ways than Russia and China. Their ways and cultures have spread throughout  the world in which Russia and Chin will not succeed. Russia and China is on stage, but as super powers, I don't know.
