Google Play Services has stopped UGGHHH!!!

Google Play Services updated itself, without my knowledge, and now it will not stop popping this notice up on my

Galaxy Tablet:  Google Play Services has stopped   

Two options are given:  Close   or Send a report

 

I tried for over an hour to get it to stop popping up hundreds and hundreds of times, but to no avail.

 

I finally pasted fix this into the report box and sent a report every time it popped up.  After twenty or so

reports were sent, it finally quit popping up every couple of seconds...until I got home from the meeting.

The annoying--beyond annoying pop up was back...is back.  

 

I googled a fix, but there isn't anything that works to get it to stop.  I cannot believe Google hasn't fixed this already.

Apparently, it's been happening long enough for a dozen or so 'fix it' apps to pop up in the Google Play Store,

and for articles about to to fix the problem to be posted on the internet.

 

Anybody else experiencing this pop up nightmare?

The pop up won't let you do anything else on your tablet until you deal with it...HUNDREDS of times.

Can you delete it and reinstall it?

Find a newest version on apkmirror and install it.. or go to settings-apps and clean cache and data of this app..
uninstall it, it will stay on basic on factory version. Reboot.
Than try to upgrade.

Which phone do you have, version of android?

No

It is stuck in some sort of a limbo.

Won`t allow you to disable it and do a factory reset.

Restart phone and than try. Try to clear memory and cache.

I did all that an nothing stop it.

It won`t let me do a reset.

This just may be the fix I was hoping for.   I followed the instructions and this fix appears to be working.
