Which language would you like to master overnight?

Recommended Posts

So an angel asks you in your dream that he will make you a master of one foreign language overnight.

Which language would you choose and why?

I'd choose the Biblical Hebrew, because I want to read the words coming from God in Hebrew.

If he can't make me a master of Hebrew, then maybe French because it sounds so .. French.

Would the angel do that for your benefit or so you could help others?

I wouldn't care what language I was given, just like Pentecost,  I would accept any assignment I would be given.

Brother Nurzat already chose the Pure language, so I'm going with Spanish.

Creo que el español es el idioma de sonido más hermoso en este sistema de cosas. :D

Spoiler

I believe Spanish is the most beautiful sounding language in this system of things.

Why definitely Arabic? :)

Because for one there is a great need in the service field left to handle here and hardly anybody who can speak Arabic or is willing to learn it. Well, with a complete new alphabet as well as reading and writing from right to left, after all.

And  as a positive little side-effect, I would also expect it to open some interesting job opportunities.

Biblical Hebrew for me too. But I am reminded of this:

The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole obligation of man. Ec 12:13

We have a sister who lives in Germany for a 3 year or so stint in the Arabic language group. Her father is an elder and lives in our building. He speaks English with a Canadjan accent, eh!

Consciousness, that annoying time between naps!

Definitely Arabic.

I recently took a form  for those interested in attending a language class for Arabic, as

there is a need in our area to preach the good news in Arabic.  We had a return visit on

someone that is Arabic - I express to him about learning Arabic, and he said which one

and told me I could do it!  Good return - we have to turn him over to a brother.
