Fixing Credit

Recommended Posts

Check out the Capital One secured credit cards. I got one of these when I didn’t have credit and now my credit is really high because of it. You have nothing to lose. Worse case scenario is you’ll have to put down a deposit of no more than $200.00 but if you use your card responsibility you’ll get it back within 6 months and your card will be a regular one and not secured. If you want to build your credit the fastest and highest only use 1 percent of your available credit. That’s what I do. I make one small purchase a month and pay it off every month. Getting this card was one of the best decisions I ever made.

The Hebrew word cushi or kushi is an affectionate term generally used in the Bible to refer to a dark-skinned person of African descent.

My husband and I researched using one of the “fixer” companies. These companies offer to help you pay off your creditors quickly and easily. What we found was you had to NOT make any payments so as to force the creditors to accept the “offer” from the “fixer” company. This would have been horrible for our credit because non payments show up on your report & cause your score to go down. In addition, we didn’t feel comfortable forcing a creditor into a corner when we had made the purchases to begin with. So, instead we chose one card at a time and paid extra toward it until it was paid off, and then moved on to the next card. (All this while keeping up with regular payments on the others). It’s taken 2 years, but it’s done, and our credit scores have increased as well.

"For God is the one who for the sake of his good pleasure energizes you, giving you both the desire and the power to act." Phil 2:13

I'm happy that you were able to get it worked out. Try to stay away from credit cards.

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.
