Daily text widget ?

Hi i used to have a daily text widget on my Android Phone but then a lot of daily text app makers stopped doing so because of copyright issues i believe.

 

Is there a widget for the daily text available today that is fine to use ?

 

Have tried a couple of daily text apps from the google playstore but no widgets within them.

One thing you can do is download the "Examine the Scriptures" from jw org as an epub and open it into your book reader..I use Moon Reader. Then go to your files (my files on my Android phone), and hold your finger on the publication and at the top tap "more" and select "add to home screen" . Now you have your "widget". Tap it and choose your book reader to open it into. .Find the text for today, and when you are finished, close the book reader. Next time it will open to where you left off. With epub, you can even access the Watchtower article!

...and all this is easier than opening to the home page in JWLibray?

Maybe that is the opinion of DarrenG..personally, I like JW Library because of more of an opportunity to do research. I was just showing that there is a way to have the link on the home screen!

You could put a bookmark or bookmark widget to wol.jw.org on your home screens to go from 2 taps down to 1... or you might try the new Alexa skills if you want it read to you verbally. https://www.jw.org/en/online-help/using-jw-org/use-voice-assistant-to-play-content/skills-for-amazon-alexa/

I get the daily text emailed through jwtalk.net (by Grumpys Wife) every day.... I don't even need a widget!

I like it because I review it a day ahead of when we consider the text at breakfast.
