Meeting Stream Options?

I've been given a link to stream the Public Talk and Watchtower this week.  Is there a way to access this directly from the Roku?  Is screen sharing the only way I can have this on my TV?

Hi Shawn,

I don't know if this helpful to you, there is an option when you open the link taking you to JWstream where you can download each meeting.

You could download the meeting you want on your PC then copy it to a flash-drive. Most smart TVs have a USB port, so you could watch the meeting from your flash-drive. 

But Richard, not sure about a TV that isn't "smart" enough.

That would work.  I keep forgetting about the USB port on the Roku.

I also have a 10ft HDMI cable and I can hook up my PC to the TV..

The HDMI should allow both picture and sound to be sent to the TV - the USB will only send the video in most cases

I use to download the monthly broadcast to a USB drive and play it through the media app on my smart TV, then I bought a Roku. We had video and sound.

That is using the USB port on the TV directly from the USB drive - that should give sound if the app is smart enough to play video and not just still images like my old TV

 

However, running a USB cable from the PC to the TV usually does not send sound with the video - and your post was about running a cable from the PC to the TV ... thus the comment

My TV is set up with USB accessible through a  Roku-3, a BluRay player and a USB port direct.  All of mine seem to play video and sound if the video file is selected.

My group overseer has sent it to me 3 time and I haven’t gotten it yet

Another way would be to open it on an Apple Phone or Ipad and then watch on your smart TV.  Get the video running then tap on it and at the top it will show which TV you can broadcast it on.
