Video source changed to cloudfront.net

Has somebody noticed that our download links have changed from a.akamaihd.net to

cloudfront.net like this :

Is it possible to get new search links in order to download the videos early?

Ideas?

I’m not sure how we ever knew the pattern to get direct links before. Unless you just mean the basic download function?

With such a search string (there are a few different) you can find files directly on akamaihd.net.

Will we need new ones?

yes so that hasn't actually changed; the URL and the parameters you passed into the URL, namely,  pub=  and  langwritten=    are still working the same as they did before.

jw.org/download/? is actually a dynamic webpage, and it is already properly generating functioning direct links to the files hosted on cloudfront

No. The search string is still valid.

Yes I know.

But cloudfront.net is owned by Amazon and not akamai.

So in the near future the search strings maybe not valid anymore.

Perhaps someone here knows more about cloudfront.net.

There should be no reason for them to change.

 

If you look at the URL, it doesn't contain akamai or cloudfront, it's to jw.org. The JW server redirects the query to the appropriate server. Otherwise they would have to change all the links to all the previous publications and videos.
