Do English names remind you of certain typical characters?

Or when you see brothers and sisters with certain names, do you sometimes think their names and their characters don’t quite match up?

 

In Korea though, when I see someone with his/her name, I kind of attach that name to that person automatically so after that they kind of cling together 

so they fit in my mind. So it never happened to me. But I saw once in a TV showing Americans arguing with friends that certain names don’t suit you or something like that.

 

By the way, C.T. Russell or Rutherford, Knorr, all these names match how they are in my mind. 

 

Funny story, sometimes JW parents name their kids with Bible characters.

At least in my experience, all of them turned out right and great spiritually.

I've noticed that there are groups of people with the same name that seem to have similar personalities. There is even a name that will make me put my diplomatic hat on. So yes,there are names that make me think of of personalities. I was just told that I seem more like a Jeff than a Chris. My name is Chris Jeffries.

There was a fad around here some years back where many named their children with Bible names - in quite a number of those cases it did not turn out that giving them a "good name" helped them become a "good person" as quite a number of them left the Truth.

 

My name is John and I have known many with that name - most of us are nothing alike
