What was it that they put into the water? I couldn't quite hear what they added.

Great idea, though. Pity the guy only gets $1 for each installation!

They put Chlorine in the water to prevent algae growth.

That's true, but I think that there $1 is worth much more than here, and may be not too bad for someone who has to live in a slum. He probably installs several a day. So it's bad, but maybe not as bad as may have been for him.

I wonder if my landlord would go for this-This can really decrease my electric bill.:P

Unfortunately, most homes have insulation between the ceiling and the roof. So we have to pay a fortune for skylights. :)

Wow that is really something. I saw a youtube video of those being installed in chicken coops also.

Once when I was housesitting at my sister's, I was trying to shut off her bright kitchen lights before I left. Then I looked up and remembered she had two of those solar tubes similiar to Helen's links. It just is so thrilling to think of what we will utilize in the paradise instead of the energy we do now.
