A very special day

Recommended Posts

My dear friends,

I hope you do not mind that I am a little nostalgic today.

On this this day, May 10th, 1958 I walked down the isle of the Victoria Park Kingdom Hall in Niagara Falls, Canada, as a young bride to marry the man I love. Yes, this is our 54th wedding anniversary.

I still love him and I would do it all over again. It has been a good life. We always put Jehovah first and that is why our marriage was blessed.

I thank Jehovah for all his loving directions.

With all my love,

Inge

Dear Inge,

I'm so happy for you. It makes my heart melt when I hear of couples who have made it that long and are still head over heels in love. It gives me hope that maybe mine will get better someday. I hope you have a wonderful day. Do you have any special plans. I've talked to some couples that figure after they have been together so long, they don't need to do anything special and others still like to do something nice

Inge, you are a great example for all of us. Love your spiritual outlook on things. May 13th is our anniversary and it will be 40 years. We have always tried to go out in service on our anniversary. It just seems like its the right thing

for us to do. It should work out for us again this year since the 13th is on a sunday, makes it easy to go out for an hour or so after meeting. Congratulations on your 54th! I hope every year just keeps getting better for you.

Ahh Yankee Stadium, 1958!

I was there too. I was young, but I remember it well. They put a "sandwich sign" on me that was made for small children, but it was longer then I was tall and I kept falling face down in the street while in service with my family!

There is a picture with me in the sign, but I haven't seen it in years, it's in a box somewhere at my sister's house, I will try t dig it up sometime :)

I was there, 16, worked in refreshment stand. Also got lost on the subway for 4 hrs. Scared to death.:omg:

Thank you all so very much for all your well wishes. We did have a rather quiet day. Yes we did go out for dinner, but I had eye surgery the day before our anniversary, so I had to take it easy. In June, our sons are taking us out for our anniversary and that is always something special.

Thank you again.

I love you all,

Inge
