Import Publishers Field Service Data into NWS

Hi all

We exported all our data from Hourglass and imported into NWS.

We've been testing things for a fee weeks.

During the import process people's field service activity didn't come over i.e Did they take part in service? Studies. Hours etc

 

So now we want to make sure we have as much older data in NWS so when we go live we have history 

 

I've exported field service data for June and May from Hourglass.

I've then adjusted all the headings to match what NWS looks for such as Date, Last Name, First Name etc 

When I try to import it gives me an import log immediately and says that Date cannot be found.

But, Date column is there, and the format matches what NWS state on their website.

For example 2024-06 for June, 2024-05 for May

 

I just can't see what the problem is.

 

It's saved as an UTF csv file, the headings are correct. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

We have around 100 active publishers so if I have to spend a few hours entering it all manually I can.

Did you manage to import the data yet?

 

If you make an Export from NWS it shows these Headings:

 

 

If you paste the data from Hourglass in a csv file the exact same way, you should be able to import the data into NWS.

 

If I make an export from NWS it shows the data from 2025-08 till 2022-09. My guess is there should be data in every record, even though it is in the future.

I didn't. 

So I entered it all manually. 

Not ideal but at least we are set up and running now.
