Stupid, stupid, stupid.....

My Nexus 7 came today. I opened it up, turned it on and the welcome sign came up with the word english and a list of languages. I was all excited to see so many so I scrolled down and must have hit one too hard...now my screen is in a language I can't understand and I can't get it back to English. I tried the back button on the keyboard, turning it on and off, trying to "restart" but it just came up in the other language...Greek or a Slavic type. I had it on all of 2 seconds before I goofed it up!!!! Now I'm trying to search online for a solution....

Try typing the characters into the Google Translate page - then u can understand what it's saying and will be ableto reverse it. Go to the Google Search homepage and choose the right hand tab 'MORE' and the top option is 'TRANSLATE'

Isn't there a reset button to turn it back to factory condition? But don't feel bad I've done things like that too. We just get too excited and boom, it's messed up. Sorry..........

Thanks Graham, I will remember that.....I actually figured it out myself, not with TRANSLATE but it's good to know I can use that option! I shut it down and brought the Welcome screen up( though I couldn't tell it was the welcome screen) and instead of hitting the arrow, touched the big letter words then the small letter words. up popped the language list and boy did I get it set back on English (US) fast! There is an English UK but I'm just going to stick with what I know, lol. Thanks for getting such a fast answer to me!

Vernalee, I found a vid on the web to show how to do that, but you had to use the menu in English which was no help! Silly me lol
