Google plus?

Today I was about to start backing my files on the Google. & I noticed on some areas. It looked like the public can see your files as well. Am I right or Have I gone to the wrong area? Is it likely my files would get hijacked,? Because I also want to back up my invoices. Is this similar to Facebook, etc?

You must be referring to Google Drive specifically. You have complete control of the permissions you assign to files and folders. You can choose to share them with the public, with anyone who has the link, or with only specific other users (who must have a Google account also). Google Plus is integrated with Google Drive as well, so you can share files and folders with certain "circles" of friends (groups/lists) as well.

Essentially Google Drive is no different from Box, DropBox, SkyDrive, etc. Although I will say I like Google better.

Ok thanks. That's all good to know. I have been nutting out the problems I have had on my PC. I had to get Telstra to help me out with my email settings. & I saw how they can get into the computer on their end and go to the settings etc. So I am concerned with what others can do.
