News article showing the plundering of Babylon' the Great's wealth as discussed in next months awake magazine

I just read an article that ties in with next months awake magazine item on page 13 about the fulfilling of prophecy ( it's prophecy number 1 just to make it easier to tie the 2 together)

It is just one of the many news reports about the change in worldly opinion towards the churches and their immense wealth

I had always thought that if they started taxing churches, then it would go badly for us, like what happened in France, until that was cleared up.

But the recent news report about the Catholic church owning a porn company...well, it kind of turned my stomach.

Don't want to express whether or not a political entity should or should not take a course of action. But God did indicate that ALL of Babylon the Great will be destroyed by a collective political force, i.e. the United Nations.

I guess I should have probably read through some of these threads before I posted but basically I put up links to Italy and Spain getting ready to pull the plug on The Churches tax exempt status and ask for back taxes to boot. The interesting part is that the U.N. is being named as the tax collector.

True that as was discussed in the 1st article of the study watchtower of September 15 paragraph 7 Revelation 17:17 that God did indicate that ALL of Babylon the Great will be destroyed by a collective political force, i.e. the United Nations.

This thread shows things closing in on the tax exemption in Spain, Italy, Church/tax issues in Germany and Switzerland and quotations from the older publication Man's Salvation Book re: Babylon the Great's demise. We would need to see if other cash-strapped countries will follow suit, eyeing up the wealth of the other faith groups God would class with Babylon the Great who thinks she sits like a Queen with her wealth and support at present:

There actually planning to do the same in several other european countries - and it would only be "fair" if the US went along with it themselves.

But it is interesting to see the UN being pushed as a global tax collector at the same time this is all happening.

I wish the German government would do something about the church/tax issues in our country! Instead, every taxpayer in Germany - irrespective of religious creed, national/ethnic origin - unknowingly contributes to the training of catholic priests and pays for many other church-related matters - all this based on contracts dating back approx. 200 years.

It's about time for this scandal to be widely revealed and STOPPED !

I have some family in Germany. I was told that some children use the term "Christian" as a derogatory word in school. They might say "You Christian" or "you Jew" to someone they hate. This was recently published in a magazine called "Prokompact".
