Not sure if you all remember last July about the old guy who went into the KH to kill the brothers, and the gun didn't work??? Well, he was finally sentanced!!!!

Pensioner jailed for attempted massacre on Jehovah's Witnesses

An 83-year-old man who stormed a Jehovah’s Witnesses congregation with a machine gun in the city of Bielefeld was sentenced to 11 years prison on Tuesday for 39 counts of attempted murder.

The man, who the court said blamed the church for his estrangement from his daughter – herself a Jehovah’s Witness – entered the church hall in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia last July armed with a machine gun, knife and samurai sword.

It is quite obvious that Jehovah intervened when he entered the KH, saving many lives. I wonder what he would have said in court if he had succeeded? "I didn't mean to kill anybody judge ... they just all came at me and I just had to protect myself!"??? It is absolutely astounding what people say when they are caught being bad - just watch some of the police shows like "cops" and see what they say when they are caught "red-handed" or the excuses they give the judges for their behaviour (or like this guy, say he was not doing what he was caught doing).

Last night my hubby and I saw a 2009 cops episode where a cop pulled behind a guy that was acting very suspiciously in a handicap marked van - cop ordered him around as if he was a dangerous person just on instinct (a good thing it turned out) - saw it was a young man in a handicap controlled van, asked him if he was handicapped (NO) and got him out of the van and into handcuffs ... and it turned out he had a mask and a handgun in the seat next to him, plus someone else's wallet with cash and credit cards, and he tells the cop he was driving suspiciously becasue he was just going to "one of the drive-thru restaurants" and when asked why he had a mask he said he was going to "play a prank at one of the drive-thru restaraunts" ... turned out he had just robbed a man in a wheelchair (with the mask on, with the handgun), took his wallet as well as his handicap van and threatened to kill his family if he reported him! The things they say and plead ....

I have met a few people on the ministry who claimed that JW's have split up their family like this man claimed about his daughter, but this phrase read out in court is very telling: "Reading from a criminal profile, she said the man had been above the average fitness and mentally capability for his age. However she also stressed he had a tendency to violence, having once beaten his adult daughter in a cellar while wearing leather gloves."

The complaining relatives/spouses of such JW's were usually the nasty ones in the relationship and becoming a JW had given the victim the courage to leave the abusive relationship.

Years ago one was making this claim at our Unemployment Benefit Office (when I worked there) while his wife was in a special hostel for women escaping domestic violence! He had 2 of their small children with him and wanted to claim money for them. I knew that he really had no legal access to the children, but the staff would not listen to me and paid him while criticising about cruel JW's in front of me.

He promptly left the children on the reception counter, cashed the unemployment benefit cheque and the Police (they had to call because of the abandoned children) later found him drunk in a nearby pub having spent the money that was meant for his kids. This caused problems for the poor sister, because money for the children had already been paid to him and they would not pay her as well, so the congregation had to help her out that week. I found out that he had abducted the children from outside primary school at home-time in front of(while threatening) his estranged wife and had come straight to our welfare offices with them!Obviously had spent all his own benefit cheque on drink and was desperate for more drink money!

Not funny but had to laugh at "The man claimed during the trial he wanted to warn the Jehovah’s Witnesses congregation of the dangers of Islamic extremism."..; yeah by MURDERING them! That's rather like warning a child against the dangers of electricity by throwing them onto the tracks in front of an electric train. Well, I cannot believe it was anything but divine protection he didn't succeed, the Judge may have his own theories about why that madman didn't succeed but I will believe that it wasn't Jehovah's will to allow so much bloodshed in his own house!

Did I read right? he claimed he found the weapons in a wood ... and what? was taking them to the Jehovah's Witnesses to ask it they belonged to anyone there?!

Jail is definitely where he belongs!

Jehovah saved those friends. There was no other reason he could not have carried out his plan. Praise Jehovah!

The only reason he failed to carry out his murderous plan was that he could not operate the machine gun. Likely he had been too delirious with rage to handle the weapon or had been unable to release the safety catch and pull the trigger because he was wearing thick gloves.

But crucially, the weapons were fully functional, Judge Albert said.
