Just An Encouraging Thought For A Sunday Morning

Recommended Posts

"Faith is not the belief that God will do what you want. It is the belief that God will do what is right."

Max Lucado

We are so close to the end, my dear brothers and sisters. Take a few steps back and look at the world scene right now...look at everything that is happening...major world events...often within hours of each other. A brother and I were speaking on the phone yesterday...and he told me to take a deeper look at the following verse:

Habakkuk 2:3: "For the vision is yet for its appointed time, And it is rushing toward its end, and it will not lie. Even if it should delay, keep in expectation of it! For it will without fail come true. It will not be late!"

He pointed out several things from his own personal study of this verse...and like always...I am passing on someone else's wisdom...to all of you this morning. Hopefully it will encourage each of you...as it encouraged me.

He said to really look at the phrase, "keep in expectation of it!"

The Hebrew word used here, chakah, doesn't simply mean to "wait"...as our Bible points out...it means to have an eager, active anticipation! The Hebrew used here emphasizes the kind of waiting that leans forward...eyes fixed on the horizon...heart pounding with hope!

And the phrase..."it will not be late"...that's the Hebrew word achar...and it carries a nuance I hadn't thought of before...absolute and utter DIVINE precision...not just "punctuality"...(which is what came in my mind hearing that phrase)…but a surgical precision that will take place at just the right second!!

This gave me a new view of this verse...it's not simply about having patience...it's quite literally about trusting the highest form of accuracy and precision ever to exist...and knowing that even when everything around me seems to be crumbling...falling apart...or just when things seem to keep being endlessly delayed...everything is actually still okay!

What a reminder for me personally...Jehovah's promises, the vindication of his name and his sovereignty...Paradise itself...these things aren't sitting about idly...as if they had to "wait" for Jehovah to finally take action...all of it is actually RUSHING to completion!!

So when the wait seems long...remember...Jehovah's promises aren't slow...they're strategic and surgically precise!

And we're not just "waiting"...we're preparing...we're enduring...we're trusting!

Big deal, right? We know this already...tell us something we don't know!

I can't offer anything new...but as you step out on this Sunday and head to your meeting...please know that you're not just idly watching time pass by...we are all literally watching prophecy unfold and be fulfilled right in front of our very eyes! Jehovah is never late...and your faith...grounded in the reality of our hope...is solid proof that each of you is already walking in perfect step with Jehovah's timing!

Keep leaning forward...keep your head up...Jehovah's timing is not only precise...it's literally unstoppable...and as long as we hold on to Jehovah, our faith and to each other...so are we!!

When you said, “everything is actually still okay” because Jehovah’s promises are “rushing to completion” with “absolute and utter DIVINE precision,” that deeply moved me. I’d never thought of the delay as strategic — not just patience, but perfect timing in motion. It really gave me peace knowing nothing is acutally stalled.

It reminds me of Acts 17:31, Jehovah is always in control and looking for ways to show us how much he loves us all.

(Acts 17:31) 31 Because he has set a day on which he purposes to judge the inhabited earth in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed, and he has provided a guarantee to all men by resurrecting him from the dead.”

Matthew 5:46,47 For if you love those loving you, what reward do you have?

Are not also the tax collectors doing the same thing? And if you greet your brothers only, what extraordinary thing are you doing? Are not also the people of the nations doing the same thing?💜🤎🖤
