Sunday, August 3

[Encourage] one another.—Heb. 10:25.

What if the very thought of commenting at meetings makes you nervous? You may find it helpful to prepare well. (Prov. 21:5) The more familiar you are with the material, the more at ease you will feel about volunteering to comment. Also, make your comments brief. (Prov. 15:23; 17:27) A short answer gives you less to worry about. By making a brief comment in your own words, you will show that you have prepared well and that you have a clear understanding of the material. What if you try some of these suggestions but still feel too anxious to comment more than once or twice? Be assured that Jehovah will appreciate your sincere efforts to do what you can. (Luke 21:1-4) Giving your best does not mean putting an unbearable strain on yourself. (Phil. 4:5) Determine what you can do, set a goal to do it, and pray for a calm heart. Initially, that goal may be to make one brief comment. w23.04 21 ¶6-8

You can't walk with God while holding hands with the Devil.

Have you ever acted on something spiritual… before anyone invited you to?

No campaign. No suggestion. No spotlight.

Just a quiet ache. A pull that didn’t come from pressure — but from love.

And somehow… your heart said yes before your voice ever did.

Your feet moved before your fears could speak.

(Psalm 119:112)

Maybe no one noticed.

You didn’t make an announcement.

You just stepped forward.

A message. A prayer. A change you didn’t tell anyone about.

Not because you had to.

But because you couldn’t not.

It reminds me of Andrew.

He had been listening. Waiting.

Not for applause. Not for clarity.

Just for something real.

And when he saw Jesus, he knew.

He stayed with him (John 1:39).

He brought his brother (John 1:41).

He didn’t ask what it would cost. He didn’t make sure the timing was right.

He just… followed.

And when the invitation finally came — “Come be my follower” (Matthew 4:19) —

he didn’t need to hear it twice.

Because he had already said yes in his heart.

(2 Chronicles 16:9)

You don’t have to wait for someone to ask.

You can follow.

Now.
