Help at the right time by Bible examples

Not sure where my question fits best in the forum, but it has to do with something that caught my attention that was either mentioned in a publication or perhaps a morning worship/broadcast within the past year. It has to do with encouragement, so figured I'd put it here 🙂☔.

 

I seem to recall something recommended for the elders to do (a suggestion made more recently—the past year or six months) to help a struggling publisher identify who they are most like as to their circumstances and challenges. Anybody recall this mention or something like it? Especially along the lines helping those struggling spiritually/emotionally.
