Why is it hard to apply Philipians 2:4?

Recommended Posts

Perhaps you should do the research on your own. . I would do the research on my own with prayer to Jehovah and thoughtful meditation. With Jehovah God's help this should answer all your questions I found this on WOL under the Scripture: w08 11/15 24; w04 12/15 22; w99 1/15 23-24; w99 12/1 29; fy 30; w94 4/15 12; w90 11/15 22; w89 11/15 15-20; w87 6/1 8-13; g87 11/8 27

"May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be pleasing to you, O Jehovah, my Rock and my Redeemer."

This is how I apply that scripture. Praying for others should be an everyday thing because so many of our brothers and sisters are struggling just to keep their heads above water. They need our prayers just as we need theirs.

By praying for fellow believers, we show ourselves to be concerned, unselfish, and loving. Unselfish, loving concern for our spiritual brothers and sisters harmonizes with Paul’s point that love “does not look for its own interests.” (1 Corinthians 13:4, 5) Praying for others is one way of “keeping an eye, not in personal interest upon just your own matters, but also in personal interest upon those of the others.” (Philippians 2:4) When we make the spiritual welfare of others our concern in prayer, we also find ourselves drawing closer to them in the brotherly love that identifies Jesus’ disciples.—John 13:34, 35.

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.
