I long so, to see you again
To hear your laughter echo in the wind
Many tears I have cried 
Because I never got to say goodbye
But even if I had
That too would have been unbearably sad
So now I wait
For Jehovah you to awake
Of his promise I am sure
My prayer now, is that I will endure
For I cannot imagine putting you through the pain
Of losing me twice, with so much yet to gain
While I am without you here, I know you will be there
So with that in mind each day I keep ever aware
For if I were to fail
Oh the cries that you would wail
For no hope would you have for me to awake
If our God I do forsake
