Jehovah's Witnesses pack Civic center

By Gianna Caserta | WALB - Albany, Georgia

Thousands of people packed the Civic Center this weekend for a faith assembly.

Sunday was the second day of the circuit assembly for nearly 3,000 Jehovah's Witnesses.

The theme was 'Let God's Name Be Sanctified.'

The message was delivered through skits, scriptures and music, to encourage people to keep their faith.

"The reason Jehovah's witnesses go door to door is because that is what the apostle Paul did during the first century and Jesus Christ made very clear that we are responsible to teach others about what we know about god's word," says Ken West, Assembly Overseer.

Next weekend, another circuit assembly is scheduled in Albany for members from Florida.

About JWTalk.net - Jehovah's Witnesses Online Community

Since 2006, JWTalk has proved to be a well-moderated online community for real Jehovah's Witnesses on the web. However, our community is not an official website of Jehovah's Witnesses. It is not endorsed, sponsored, or maintained by any legal entity used by Jehovah's Witnesses. We are a pro-JW community maintained by brothers and sisters around the world. We expect all community members to be active publishers in their congregations, therefore, please do not apply for membership if you are not currently one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
