I think this is a wonderful idea

I'm so happy you made this Bob. it's very encouraging and also gives me something to do. i love hearing everyone's experiences. plus, other than drew m. there are no creeps. jk. :D

Well thank you Sam :-)

I originally put this all together about 2 and half years ago. Brandie, Crystal, my Wife, and I would "test" the software posting our daily diet and exercise journal to keep tabs on each other. We had a forum called "Secret Diet Society" which has been deleted, but is also why some of us appear to have some inflated post counts.

I had put it together because I wanted to use it to keep in touch with a number of families that moved out of the congregation.

Outside of this, I was in a few other Witness forum sites. One of them is still going, but it had a rough spot when one of the admins turned apostate and changed the settings so the board was public for awhile. He got removed, the group changed domain names, and eventually us long time members were contacted to join them at their new location. Two others just disappeared suddenly. Another one exists as an email list, but somebody in that group is an imposter and harvests email addresses and mails out apostate spam. (<img src=)'>

Those are some of the reasons I take the precautions that I do with hiding all email addresses, using a referral system and real names only. :)-D

It's not fool proof though, but it is as good as it can get (tu)

Eventually this thing will grow and I'll need extra moderators to help keep an eye on things. I also have some other security ideas in mind, I just have to write the code and test it out. I dread the day I come home from work to a hundred emails telling me that we got a nutter in here ::o

this is pitiful...but my comment is that i think you have really cute icons (or faces, not sure if i'm calling them right)

We call them smileys >:D

There a BBCode editor above the text area when you are writing a message that allows you to do the fancy things in your messages, like bold italic underline strikethrough color size, and then links, smileys, embedded Youtube video, spoilers, and more.

I want to add more functionality and more smileys too!

You do know that smiley is giving 2 middle fingers right??? :) Just thought I'd let you know, b/c that was on my Yahoo Messenger, and I blew the pic up and noticed.

Hi Micah, thanks for reporting it. I was just reading your message (and now I know that the report function is working correctly).

I never noticed that. I thought it was "2 thumbs up". Now when I mouse over it, it says "the finger smiley".

So should I rename it "Two thumbs up" or find a replacement??

{I'm off to look at the free smiley sites}
