I'm leaving tomorrow for my trip to Canada. I will be on line between my explorations , but just in case I don't get on often, I want you all to know I will miss you and will be thinking about all my friends here.

I will be back home Jan 6th and I'm just hoping the weather will be ok so I won't have any delays. I'm flying into Chicago from Charleston and that worries me...then on to Vancouver. On the way back I will be flying into Houston...How far is that from you Gloria? I'll be there a couple of hours so if you are close, we could meet up.

Anyway...I'll check back in tomorrow before I leave to play the games, but I just wanted to tell you all....done forget about me!!!!

Your know, most of us would go south for winter break, not north. You really are a mixed up kid ;)

When we flew to Texas last spring, the trip down was perfect. On the way back there were storms, so the travel was rough and everything was delays. Ended up stranded in Atlanta when the plane to Akron broke down and got canceled. Ended up staying overnight (on Delta's tab) and took one into Pittsburgh the next morning. Had my mom and dad drive a few hours over there to rescue us.

well, I made it into Canada, but my bags didn't. Our flight leaving Charleston was late so I got to Chicago just in time to run and get on the plane, but of course, my luggage didn't make it. I'm not worried, its not lost....just left behind and they will send it to me tomorrow. I got here and I'm hot and there is NO snow on the ground...at all...well at least here in Vancouver. I'll be heading into the mountains in a couple of hours and have been told they got about a foot of snow n the last day or two, so I"m excited about that. There was a light dusting in Chicago, but thats about it.

I'll be making my snow hippie tomorrow ...well if I get my clothes to play in....and I'll send you guys a pic of her.

I'll be checking in from time to time so Gloria won't go into withdrawals not havng anyone to pick on.

I remember the airline delivering my luggage to my house, because I flew to Pittsburgh, and the luggage flew to Akron :-)

Here in Ohio there is just a dusting also, but over in PA. and DC. they have gotten pounded. I heard the whole east coast is buried.

Will be waiting for that snow hippie :-)

We (in Charleston) got pounded with rain yesterday. I think we ended up with about 6-8 inches of rain in one day. All of downtown was closed off due to flooding. If we had gotten snow instead of rain...I would be stranded there and would have missed my trip. That is one time I was happy to NOT get snow.

looks like US east coast got pounded with the snow. have friends in N.carolina that are snowed in...mtg was cancelled today.

rhonda, houston is a bit too far for me (either 3 1/2 or 5 hrs away)...dallas would be doable!

we got snow today...and i played in it for a while. Built my snowlady but i need my bags to dress her up. I hope i get them tomorrow. Went to the meeting at 4pm. They have 2 KH's 5 congregations, an assembly hall and the CO's apartment all together there. It is a huge KH. A couple of the congregations have over 200 people in attendance. It was a very good meeting.

wow...they must be short on elders or they would have split by now! glad you're having fun, altho cold and snow isn't my idea of fun...makes my hands ACHE!

Its not really cold. I was very surprised. Yesterday at the meeting I just wore my boots and a shawl over a long sleeved top and a scarf. Today I went shopping and just wore long sleeves and a scarf. I still dont have my bags yet....that stinks!!!!

AirCanada called this afternoon and my bags will be here tonight. Thank goodness. A woman needs her things!!!!

I"m having so much fun with the sewing room here. I went out and bought $200 worth of fabric. I'm going to be little miss Susie Homemaker....lol!

Hi Guys!!!! I've been having a blast!!!! I've traveled all over British Columbia and it has been like a winter wonderland!!!! I have some beautiful photos to share later. It has snowed and snowed and snowed and yes.....I did use all the snow in the yard to build my snow lady. BUt the yard is covered again.

I just wanted to stick my head in and let you all know I'm thinking about you and missing you all! I'll be home Wednesday night so life will be getting back to normal again.

I"m back.....had a wonderfrul time and can't wait to go back. Even though the airlines lost my bags going and coming back, I would still do it all again and will do it all again. I went to 2 natural hot springs, crossed 2 lakes on ferrys, saw people ice fishing and skating on a frozen lake. I saw wild big horned sheep and moose. The rocky mountains lookeds like a winter wonderland...ohhhhh sooooooo beautiful. On my flight back, the sky was clear and we were on a small jet to Calgary, Alberta and were flying just above the Rockies. What an amazing site to see the beautiful snow covered mountain range!!!! I have been trying to get caught up on my sleep and all the errands I need to get done but I have a ton of pics to show off. I will share bits and pieces as time goes by. And I definately hope to be going back soon.

I"m happy to be home, though as I missed my girls and I also missed all of you guys. I see some new faces and am enjoying all the posts that I have to catch up on. I"m excited to get back to the games and whip up on Gloria a bit.
