New Car

Recommended Posts

I'm in the middle of trying to find myself a new car.... not brand new, just new to me !!!

It is a mine field out there and I'm fed up with it before I even start..... it seems like every car has had one careful lady owner... I'm beginning to think that men don't drive in this country ;)

Any tips anyone ??

I don't like car shopping either. My advise is buy a car you like but can afford, always ask for unrealistic discount on the price of the car if you go to a car dealer, read the fine print if you finance and keep in mind that interest rate is negotiable as well, have all junk fees removed from the cost, take the car to a trusted mechanic to inspect. Also, if you buy a car to an unknown run the title of the car to make sure the title is unencumbered. I hope this helps.

Grumpy and I have had Hyundai's since 1998. Our first one we had over 260,000 miles when Grumpy ran into another car.:crackwhip: MY new Hyundai is a 2010:crush: and I get 33 miles per gal when I drive. Less when Grumpy drives. Now the newer ones get even better mileage. Neither auto has given us any problems and the warranty is really good. Of course we take real good care of our vehicles. Grumpy is still driving his fathers 83 Chevy S10 that has over 300000 miles on it.

If we have to get another auto it will be another Hyundai.

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.

I loved my Hyundai 5 speed....bought it when it was 11 months old and had it 9 years and would still have it... it looked in mint condition.

But a young guy adjusting his car radio slammed into me while I was sitting at a red light ,had to go to the hospital for that....barely

over that accident and while sitting at another red light a huge work truck slammed into me and totalled my baby...it had 209,000 miles on it and we barely

replaced anything on it.

Now I drive a Buick La Sabre...it is very comfortable and huge inside I can get 6 people in there. It's an automatic though and no fun at all,but a nice car.

I'd get another Hyundai if it's a stick shift...afraid of the automatic.

A hyundai almost killed me a three others, driving down the highway it caught fire and went up in flames we barely got out in time

it was a 1991 excel . there was an issue with the electrical wires literally entwined with the fuel hoses to the carb.

I went through the local junk yard and EVERY single excel there ( more than 10 ) was burnt to the ground

Red is bad!!! LOL

Every red car we have owned, no joke, has given us problems!!! We got a RED blazer, drove 200 miles into Indianapolis from Columbus, and the engine blew up!!! Besides, statistically, red cars gets picked up more than any other color by the cops.

Should get yourself a REALLY NICE CAR!!!

Are you offering to buy it for me.. ?? Oh thanks so much

Get yourself a four door pickup truck!

I agree! My husband bought me a Honda Ridgeline for a service car. He isn't even in the truth, but he knew what to get.

Four-wheel drive for rurals

A running board for the older sisters who can't hop right in

Lots of hand hold inside

Cup holders for our Starbuck's

A pickup bed in case we find a yard sale

A trunk under the truck bed in case we get something small at the yard sale

Four doors

(<img src=)'> I bought that car... he dropped 250.00 off the price as well :)

Its a lovely car... okay its not the prettiest, but once I get my vase of flowers on the dash and my flowery steering wheel cover it will be good !!

My last car was a 4 x 4 jeep and whilst it was great on ministry it was heavy on diesel as it was a 3 litre engine...

If looking for a used car you might want to get the car checked out. Sometimes the people who fixed these used cars don't do a good job. It's best to always get someone to check and see that nothing is wrong with the car.

Thats good advice... I always get a complete Cartel check done especially to make sure that there is no finanace outstanding :)
