Band of Angels (Not About Angels) (Includes some info about movie)

I just ordered a movie on DVD from 1957 that my mom has told me about for many years.  It's called Band of Angels and it's not about angels, it's a love story with Clark Gable, Yvonne De Carlo and Sidney Poitier.  It takes place prior to the civil war and during the civil war in the South.  

A southern belle played by Yvonne De Carlo the daughter of a rich white plantation owner.  Her father dies and it's discovered something even she didn't know that her mother was a black or part black I'm not sure if she was black or part black but any way her biological mother was a slave.  So by  law Yvonne de Carlo's character becomes a slave and goes up for auction and is bought by Clark Gable's character except he has good motives.  He buys her to keep anyone else from doing so.  

 

It turns into a love story I can't wait to watch it.
