Wednesday, April 22

God is not unrighteous so as to forget your work and the love you showed for his name.—Heb. 6:10.

How do you feel when someone you know and respect forgets your name or, worse still, does not even recognize you? Such an experience can be very discouraging. Why? It is because each one of us has a natural desire to be accepted. The type of recognition we desire goes beyond being identified by others; we also want some acknowledgment of who we are and what we have accomplished. (Num. 11:16; ftn.; Job 31:6) Like many other natural desires, though, our desire to be appreciated can become unbalanced, distorted by our imperfections. It can make us crave inappropriate expressions of recognition. Satan’s world fuels a desire for fame and acknowledgment that distracts attention from the one who truly deserves to be recognized and worshipped, our heavenly Father, Jehovah God.—Rev. 4:11. w18.07 7 ¶1-2

You can't walk with God while holding hands with the Devil.

One thing we've all learnt is that it is Jehovah who invites us into The Truth and obviously sees something in us that he can work with.

The challenge for each one of us is to first acknowledge the above and then see, with prayer,  what that is in each brother and sister.

Remember the carpenters tools.  No tool is more important than the other.  The job [life] cannot proceed sometimes without the smallest and

seemingly most insignificant tool.

It would be sad if the saw stood up on his pedestal and began to think he was more important.

But sometimes a retired saw, which has done much work over the years, can be hung up on a nail, still in display, but relegated to the background.

But remember The Carpenter [Jehovah] never forgets the work it has done for him.

So all you old saws never forget that.

Have a pleasant day brothers and sisters and allow our Father to use us however he can.

Brother Merv and Sister Chris.
