By your endurance you will preserve your lives.—Luke 21:19.

 

Life in this system is hard, and we may be confronted with even more difficult challenges in the future. (Matt. 24:21) How we yearn for the day when all of that will be behind us—long forgotten and never to be repeated! (Isa. 65:16, 17) Clearly, we need to continue to strengthen our endurance. Why? Because Jesus said: “By your endurance you will preserve your lives.” (Luke 21:19) Thinking about how others are successfully enduring trials similar to ours can strengthen our endurance. Who is the best example of endurance? Jehovah God. Does that answer surprise you? It might until you think about it. This world is under the control of the Devil, and it is riddled with problems. Jehovah has the power to end it in an instant, but he is waiting for a future day to do that. (Rom. 9:22) In the meantime, our God keeps on enduring until that appointed time arrives. w21.07 8 ¶2-4

Endurance. the ability to withstand hardship or adversity. especially : the ability to sustain a prolonged stressful effort or activity. 

I know so many of us our just struggling to get by in the everyday pursuit of finance. It causes such intense fear and strife keeping the wolf away from the door. Yet endure we must. I'm trying to change my attitude and the direction of my prayers after listening to the #6 update of our bother who was imprisoned for 26 years. Now I'm examining what I'm actually praying for. Even though I want this system over yesterday what is there to be gained by allowing it to go on another, day, week, month,year? A opportunity for perhaps a few more to learn of Jehovahs Kingdom? A chance for us to work on our fruitage of the spirit? I have to improve in so many areas that it changes my perspective of how soon this system should end.  If I can just make a little improvement each week I can be a better servant and fellow worshipper to our friends. Maybe it is ME that needs this 'extra' time and not so much 'others'. Thank you Jehovah for helping me to change my perspective...
