Activities during a congregation party?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I am in charge of organizing a congregation party with all the brothers and sisters. Do you have any fun activity ideas?

I'm excited to hear your suggestions and make this event enjoyable for everyone! 😊

It would be helpful to know if it's outdoors or indoors?
At a park or in a party room inside would have different things you can do.

For example, in a park you could play volleyball, soccer, frisbee, etc.

Inside, you could sing songs together, play musical chairs, or "20 questions" for a Bible character

Personally, I love games where everyone could participate(or not) if they want to!
Following to see what ideas others have as well.

-My congregation mostly talks, so there is plenty of seating (and food)

-we do have a volleyball net up and have badminton rackets or something else to play with for those that want to.

-a few of us went on a hike on a nearby trail

-bonfires

-Some people bring instruments and we all join in a Kingdom song.

-horseshoes/cornhole

-frisbees

-Bible trivia games. the winning table gets a prize

The majority of the list is optional for participation because we have an older congregation and most people just want to chat. Having optional activities on the side is for those with more energy, but it doesn't make anyone feel like they are being lazy or missing out by not participating because no one is "urging" them to do it and they can watch the games from their seat, if they want to.

  • Bible Quiz night + food and drink, and provisions for smaller children
  • Bible drama - presenting some of Jesus' parables
  • Musical evening - with costumes, instrumental and sing-along
  • Evening meal and chat

Also:

  • Dance night + food
  • Rural walks + food
