Whenever I'm struggling with a life situation, I stop for a moment and think of little Jamie Scott. Jamie had applied for a part in the school play.

His mother said he really wanted to get it, but she was afraid he wouldn't be accepted. On the day the roles were given out, I accompanied her to pick up her son from school.

As Jamie ran towards her, his eyes lit up with pride and excitement: “You know what, Mom?” he shouted. And the words that followed will always be a lesson to me: “I've been chosen to applaud and cheer on the others!”
