If you've ever seen snakes in the wild, you may remember what happens when two snakes meet. They hiss and open their mouths as wide as they can. They move from side to side, waiting for an opportunity to strike. As soon as one gives up and closes its mouth, the other snake strikes. Then the snake is finished. 

Well, Satan is referred to in the Bible as the great serpent. He is ready to strike at any time. But as long as we open our mouths wide in the preaching ministry and stay closely connected to God's people, he cannot strike. 

Therefore, while we have a favorable time, let us not grow weary, lest we lose our hope in Satan's snares of the old system.
