planting and reviving plants

Recommended Posts

So my grandma passed away last July, and this plant was in her house, her........partner.....decided he didnt want to water it (He claims he forgot). so I grabbed the plant in March, tried to figure out what to do with it, it originally didnt work out, so luckily someone on facebook knew how to take care of this specific plant. I reached out to them for help and they helped me. The plants are thriving now. 4/5 of the plants survived. Here's how it looked when i got it. Then when i tried to figure out what to do with it. Figured putting the stems in soil would help them, but that was a bad idea. I needed to regrow the roots. I'm going to be replanting the rest of them sometime this week when i can get out and buy more pots. I'm also growing elephant ears in the OG pot, they just sprouted int he past two days (They werent there over the weekend, but now there's  tiny green sprout).

The cool thing about the plant i'm reviving is i remember seeing it back when my grandma lived in Buffalo (Early 90s), and she had it way before then as well. This plant itself may be older than me. She always cut off parts when it got too long and gave it to other family members and friends and i'm going to continue that tradition. Know how families have family trinkets they pass down, this plant is probably gonna be ours.
